[ The staff aren't the only ones receiving advantages, it seems. When you wake up from that dreamless sleep with a weapon, there's a clear choice of what to be done, isn't there?

After a certain conversation with a certain someone... Kei finally leaves the room. His sword is on his hip, like usual, though he's going to make sure he doesn't have to use it, unless necessary. Then he has this... Weird pole-like weapon with barbs that was given to him, that's now being held in his hand.
However, like he promised, he'll confront a certain person if he received a gift. Here goes.
But speaking of that particular person... He can't seem to find him! Kei even tried to peek in Apartment 7 as quietly as possible, but Bigby wasn't in there.
Hm... Something must be up then, maybe.
He'll wait it out as long as possible - well, until he hears some approaching footsteps. He'll raise his voice, but not too much. He's staying on the cautious side here, though he sounds pretty demanding nonethless. ]

Bigby's had certain conversations with certain people as well! conversations that have him out and about on the evening of the fifth day at the complex, long after the curfew has surfaced and all of its residents should be asleep. it's safe to say that he wasn't expecting to run into anyone on his way back to Apartment #7. after all, there should only be three other people and anyone else that may have been snatched up in the process out and about.
imagine his surprise when there's someone hanging outside of his destination. ―with a sword at his hip and another foreign weapon in his hand at that. he stops in his tracks almost immediately, giving Kei a good once over. his eyes are especially watchful, waiting to see if his feet even so much as twitch in Bigby's direction. ]

That's a good question Bigby because anyone with a common sense would ask that. So... Good on ya, Bigby. ]

[ Dismissive wave of his hand, that immediately falls to his side. ]
And I think you're the one I was looking for. You're in Apartment 7, right? It's missing a person.

[ you know. the one where you're heavily armed and peeking into rooms to do a head count, apparently. Bigby doesn't attempt to back away or move forward, instead just standing completely still. Kei's apparently looking for someone, and that someone is him. ]
Want to tell me why you're looking for someone in that apartment? ―And why you're not asleep like the others?
[ he's personally bad at answering questions that were asked first. yes, he knows he is a hypocrite. but he is also supremely under armed. consider it a defensive stance. ]

[ Well, when he's usually on his police duties, you know... You usually have a blunt weapon used for knocking people out, but that's not possible while you're in weirdo-modern land.

Bigby lets out a sigh when the stranger explains himself. he can't be particularly honest at a time like this, only because the future was still a giant question mark. his nose scrunches up in thought as he tries to consider a proper answer. ]
You're not here to just ask a question. And no, I don't really feel like explaining myself. Wasn't walking around to test how much the shocks from the ankle monitor hurt if that helps.

[ That's just him mumbling to himself, ignore that. BUT FINE... With a sigh of his own he'll introduce himself. ]
It's Kei, but I'm not going to let you drag me down. [ BECAUSE HE HAS A JOB TO DO, so he's honestly to dive right into it in before Bibgy tries to walk off after introductions. ]
I said I wanted to ask questions, so just answer. Let's say... Some information I collected points that you might be working with the staff, so you being outside right now isn't helping your case right now.
[ Like okay, you can argue that Kei being outside as well isn't helping him either but... Listen. He'll point fingers first. ]

[ at least Kei is outright with his reasons. he tilts his head, lips curving into a weak smile as he was called out for being staff. Kei's definitely not wrong with that random accusation, but he gets curious. ]
Really? Gonna guess you aren't willing to share that supposed information? [ Bigby goes to lean against the wall, not showing any intent on approaching him just yet. he didn't want to do this, after all. what they both know this will turn into. ] If you wanted me to defend myself, you wouldn't be out after curfew hoping I'd be asleep. You'd bring it up in trial.

Ah, yeah you're right about that, I guess. Though, the one that sent me here implied that we should just get this over with right now.
[ Hey! At least Kei didn't ambush him! That's good... Right?
His eyes narrow as Bigby leans against the wall - looks like they're going to be here for a bit, huh. Well, Kei isn't overall defensive, despite having two weapons (shh), he doesn't look as if he's about to attack Bigby at any given moment at least. ]
If that's what you want, then I'm not against it... [ He won't tell him who gave him the information and the so-called "orders". recalling what he's been told. ] Kids piss you off and a 14 year old girl died earlier. I guess it was unavoidable because of what her profile said but... [ He feels kind of bad that she died!? Geez.] While you said you wouldn't hit a child, it's pretty hard to believe you with how roughly you handled that woman that died the first trial. [ You were violent Bigby!! Why! You know what they say, actions speak louder than words. ]
I mean... I was finding it hard to believe people among us would actually be killing the rest of us but after finding out that's actually the case. Well, sometimes you can't wait for the trials because I'm sure someone else might die tonight - so I, also, want to get this over with. So, out with it. Is it true or not?

[ and he wasn't talking about Kei. he gets the impression that the kid is just out with a job to do, even if that job wasn't particularly great. or smart, for that matter, because it still sounded like he was going off of a wild guess as to why Bigby may have been guilty of the accusations. the theory would be sound if it wasn't for the fact that it was just so damned ironic. ]
She kind of kicked me in the balls. Don't know about you, but that's bound to make a guy act one way or another. [ but there's a shrug. he wasn't about to justify his actions when there was no need to. it's true that there was a reason attention was needed to be put on Diva, but he was still just going with Elizabeth's recommendation. ] ―Yeah. [ Well... Even Kei's really rude and doesn't know how to handle a lot of situations well, so that's kind of all talk but nonetheless...
He got his answer, so naturally, his grip around the barbed weapon does tighten. Kei honestly, deep down, wishes there was a better way to handle this but he said he would do this himself. Now, he knows for sure he isn't killing an innocent person, at least. If Bigby goes down tonight that would make finding the rest easier, he thinks for the most part. ]
Then you can probably guess why I'm here then. I would just arrest you, but considering how this place works I don't think that'll be enough.
[ As much as he hates the fact that arresting can't really solve his problem, really. He unsheathes his sword -- he'll be sort of back in his element thanks to this second weapon that was gifted to him to dual wield, but it still feels a tad bit weird since it's not the matching sword that's been missing. It'll do though. This'll almost feel like one of those executions, which makes him feel kind of sick considering how he already yelled at Sakyou for killing Diva, but... Since Bigby admitted to being a staff member he has no choice since Kei's now putting himself in danger now with this information.
... Still feels bad since Bigby doesn't really have a weapon? ]

... which is something that Bigby is not, but for completely different reasons than killing Diva or Charles or anyone else that may or may not pop up in the near future. he hasn't actually been someone that ended another life while here, primarily because of his stance involving children. who knows if it was to stay that way indefinitely? it was clear that Kei didn't want to take that chance. and honestly, he would be the same way if their positions were reversed.

Yeah, yeah. Nothing but stupid moves available in a place like this. But you don't get that yet. [ Bigby doesn't do well with being pushed into a corner, so arresting him wouldn't turn into a favorable outcome either. ] You're really hoping I'd be armed? Heh. You damn sword wielding types... I'm guessing it's got something to do with honor.
[ funny guy. he pushes himself off of the wall when he realizes that they aren't going to be standing around for much longer. Bigby may have muscle on the kid, but he's got both hands equipped with weapons that were going to cause some damage one way or another. his question has him smiling again, looking down at both hands as he flips them over to show his palms. ]
Nope. But I'm kind of used to the disadvantage. Don't worry about feeling bad.

[ It doesn't feel right to say something like that because attacking an unarmed man is still really wrong! It's in his bones to be a fair and just roundsman, but Bigby admitted to being staff, therefore guilty.
Well, either way if Kei ever spoke up about Bigby being staff and gets voted. He's going to die anyway.
Lord... Is there really a way out of this without death. Apparently not.
So, here goes! Hopefully karma doesn't bite him in the ass for this (HAHA). Though, Kei is quick on his feet, taking off towards Bigby with a heads on attack. He thrusts his sword directly at Bigby, aiming for the heart to (hopefully) give him a quick death.
But that might not be the case..! Though, he's definitely going to put all his strength into this stab since this guy has way more muscle than him. ]
