![]() At some point when your character is alone, they'll hear Judy's even, calm voice speaking through the intercom system. The intercom is only speaking in this room, and it seems she's speaking to you and you alone. "Hello. It's time to get to work..." You're being given a chance to help stop or slow the game you've been trapped in. This isn't justice, and Judy wants you to help her stop this before it goes too far. Judy directs you up to the third floor, and though most of the doors are still locked up tight, there's one room on the Western hallway that you can now access through the code that Judy has given you: 6227#414. The room itself is a simple, barely stocked office that seems more like a storage closet than anything else. However, the radio, the televisions, and computer terminals give the impression that this might have been a communications office of some kind. Though, interestingly, it seems that you're not alone. It looks like you have a partner for the work ahead. Welcome, Think Tank. It's time to get to work and find out who among you is trying to kill everyone here. |

[ Which, leads her to focus: ]
Look, I was a real overachiever, you're doing fine. I promise you. [ She says with a half-forced smile. Her brow twitches in a sting when she does, looking down to the lists. ] Which leads us to today: who do we choose?
You know my reasoning for Rhys... Call me petty, but call me a bitch and you'll find out how much of one I can be.
[ ??? oh my god. ]
Ciel posed a new threat and once again, it's not because I was was forced to disrobe. It was a sudden insistence on injuries... stripping me and Adam down. [ She says with a curious expression. ] He somehow didn't find the wound Adam flaunted to lead to his guilt. I find that curious and so do a few others I've chatted with.
[ But Alvin... ]
But, Veronica made some interesting points with Alvin. He was deflecting blame and seemed quickly to point the finger in a direction other than his own. I've taken my fair share of accusations but never once did I do that. Is that his character or is he just trying to hide something?

Alice?'s brow furrows at that, but she just keeps on going, and then she's going and going and he needs to scramble mentally to keep up.
Holy hell.
She may be being an overachiever, but lives are on the line--he really needs to pick up the pace.]
... Alright. Look--I think Ciel's suspicious too. And I don't like Rhys either, but if it makes you feel better, we can start with Rhys. But if he's innocent I vote we don't tell him about either of us anyway. He'd probably fuck it up.
[HE'D RHYS IT...]
Alvin... I dunno about Alvin. [Alice? looks a little uncomfortable at that. Alvin's been nice to him, but...] I was talking to him before and he seemed pretty willing to help try to find suspicious people but....he doesn't like to share his own opinions, I think. I noticed that too, and I don't know why.
Like he doesn't wanna commit to anything that could get him into trouble. Then again, look at Franziska.

[ Look, let her live???? ]
Rhys - I feel like he knows something. Either he's good at playing stupid or he's an accomplice. I believe the technological aspect that shifted suspicion to him, Jack, and Angel were valid. Fortunately for us, Angel is clear. Leaving him and Jack- who have an interesting relationship. I showed my cards a bit too easy to Jack, thought he was the sap who would fall for a flutter of lashes. They're smart but are Rhys and Jack smart enough to cover their tracks?
[ She'll pause. ]
If we don't choose Rhys today, let's push him next trial.
[ They always say that and then shit hits the fan??? ]
Alvin's done nothing but help me but he doesn't get close. Don't think he's a team player and I don't blame him. ....Do you think he's one of the six?

Ciel's Ciel, and he's suspicious. But Rhys is Rhys, and maybe it'll get her to calm her shit if they check him out?]
Look...if we clear Ciel, that's not that helpful, right? It's not like we can go talking to him, or that anyone even likes him. So it makes more sense to check out Rhys anyway.
[and also Liz clearly just needs to know, and he's fine with that.]
Alvin... I dunno about. I think he could maybe be Staff [but he hopes not] but he could also...yeah, be one of the other roles. Then... that would make sense why he's all careful and wary, right?
Hey, would Judy tell us if he is, if we checked him out later? Or just if he's guilty or not?
no subject
LOOK, LIZ IS PRETTY CALM. She's dangerously calm considering what happened over the first few days. She got her cries out, got her victimized feelings out of the way and went back to work. ]
Right. If we want to pursue Rhys, I won't oppose. Just make sure we're focused on the task. If he's innocent, I agree - I'm not keen with informing him. If he's guilty? How the hell do we even deal with? We're batting 2 for 2 with innocents here.
[ Elizabeth nods in regards to Alvin. ]
If we clear Alvin, he could be a liability for our cause too. People suspected him fairly quickly... I'd hesitate to let him in on this.

But here we are, this is where we're stuck.]
... Yeah, I dunno. I guess we can tell the people we trust--we could tell... Angel, for example, or Alice, and have them spread it around too... they can say it didn't come from them so they should be safe, right?
Just... I dunno how else we can do that.
[A sigh.]
So. Rhys today. Maybe Alvin or Ciel... next time. [He hates that he knows there'll be a "next time", it's sour on his tongue.]

[ Seems ominous but it's not solid. People can defend it, start paranoia and that is dangerous. ]
Rhys today, Alvin or Ciel next time. [ She repeats just as bitterly. ] Until they throw some wrench into our plans, you know. We have a real track record with that.
no subject
We can figure that out if we get someone.
So. Rhys today, Alvin or Ciel next time.
[A sigh. He won't even try to argue the wrench in their plans thing, because they're the only ones with this power, and... it's not going their way yet. That's their responsibility.]
Let's...see what we got.
no subject
Well. Alright... not entirely what I had planned, but I'm not surprised. Congratulations, we found our first staff member.
no subject
Holy shit]
We actually...found someone?
[WHAT THE FUCK]
... Now what?
no subject
[ But - ]
Let's keep that as the last option, but I sure am glad I started mixing my peas with my porridge.
[ It scares her, honestly... but... she gives a reassuring smile to Alice? ]
I don't want you to worry about this, though. If it happens, it happens. There's other universes where I'm alive - where I get out of here. I don't mind it, so let's think best case scenario....
How can we pin Rhys as staff without any confirmation but our bound words...?
no subject
That is a bad plan and I don't like it.
[For the record!!!!
Alice? just crosses his arms, huffing.]
... But fine, let's figure something else out so it doesn't come to that. Obviously just telling people willy-nilly isn't going to work, so... we have to figure out how to make him look suspicious again. Which he already is.
no subject
[ HE DOESN'T LIKE IT AND SHE FROWNS. ]
Let's talk every few hours, alright? We'll be able to narrow down how to deal with this when we aren't panicked.
no subject
It doesn't sound like they have any better option, so--]
...Fine.
[A sigh.]
Doesn't sound like we've got any other ideas, so... for now, let's just do that. I'll--come up with something, though, okay? So don't be so quick to throw yourself in the line of fire like that.
