scientists - week 0
![]() WEEK 0 Unlike everyone else, you know exactly why you're here. You've been hired to do a job, and it's time to carry it through. Sure, it's a bit odd to wake up with all the residents you were going to be overseeing, but it doesn't really matter. Once everyone is asleep, you have a chance to slip out. After all, the curfew doesn't apply to staff. Once you've left your assigned apartment, Judy's calm, even voice speaks up from the ceiling. "Good evening. It's time to get to work..." She directs you down to the first floor, through a courtroom and an eerily clean room where there's a number pad. You know the code already: 6227#316. Down you go into the operating theater, and through it to the program labs. Here, you'll find everything you may need to carry out your work from the terminal describing that work to a wide variety of tools to be used in the operating theater. After all, none of this is unfamiliar to you. Since you woke up, you knew what you were going to be doing here. You just had to wait until the curfew was in place. The drugs that effect everyone else don't bother you, since you received your shot to resist it. Though, oddly, you know you have that resistance, but you can't quite remember when you got it... Welcome, science team. It's time to get to work so that you can go home all the quicker. |

Is there anything in particular you wanted, or did you simply wish to yell at me?
no subject
It makes me feel better.
[ does he mean the hitting or the yelling? both, actually. ]

Can you please focus your energy on doing your job, Mr. Rhys? Now you know, and I would prefer to not be here all night.
no subject
[ he hasn't been paying much attention if you can tell ]
no subject
[ That's pretty much the equivalent of a verbal shrug... ]
What do you want, Rhys? If there is something I can provide to focus your efforts, I will attempt to do so.

he just glares at the terminal for a moment before his shoulders slump and he glances back at the room before switching to text I AM SO SORRY FOR THIS CHRISTY ]
can you tell me if jack got his nose fixed :\
no subject
Yes, he did.
no subject
oh ok cool
you don't think he like

do you
????
[ don't talk to rhys about his relationship drama please ]

Though my records indicate that the "timing" was fortunate in this case. I would have been cross to lose a scientist so quickly, as it's my understanding from your profile that the Jack of your time is considerably more violent.
no subject
oh. SEE. SO THERE IS A TIME THING GOING ON HERE
WHY DIDN'T YOU
YOU COULD'VE SAID
AND NOW I HAVE TO TELL HIM THIS AND OMGGGG YOU ARE A BITCH
HE HATES ME NOW, JUDY :(((((
[ at least he got her name right ]
no subject
But that is correct. He is from a few years before your time, Rhys. I don't have the full records, so you will have to find out the details yourself, but he is still a programmer for Hyperion rather than the CEO he will become.
What you choose to tell him is up to you, of course. But my personal advice is that you should consider the power you have, Rhys. :) That is why you were hired.
no subject
you!!
what else aren't you telling us, man
if jack kills me, it's your fault.
no subject
I can tell you more with specific inquiries, but the information I'm working with is limited. But as I'm here to assist the science division in whatever ways you may request.
