scientists - week 0
![]() WEEK 0 Unlike everyone else, you know exactly why you're here. You've been hired to do a job, and it's time to carry it through. Sure, it's a bit odd to wake up with all the residents you were going to be overseeing, but it doesn't really matter. Once everyone is asleep, you have a chance to slip out. After all, the curfew doesn't apply to staff. Once you've left your assigned apartment, Judy's calm, even voice speaks up from the ceiling. "Good evening. It's time to get to work..." She directs you down to the first floor, through a courtroom and an eerily clean room where there's a number pad. You know the code already: 6227#316. Down you go into the operating theater, and through it to the program labs. Here, you'll find everything you may need to carry out your work from the terminal describing that work to a wide variety of tools to be used in the operating theater. After all, none of this is unfamiliar to you. Since you woke up, you knew what you were going to be doing here. You just had to wait until the curfew was in place. The drugs that effect everyone else don't bother you, since you received your shot to resist it. Though, oddly, you know you have that resistance, but you can't quite remember when you got it... Welcome, science team. It's time to get to work so that you can go home all the quicker. |

He is not a toy. He is a murder robot and you should respect that.

But if you make a mistake because of that thing, you'll be the one dead instead of getting out of here alive.

I won't make a mistake. You think I don't know how to control my robot? You think if I had to I wouldn't put Dumpy down if it helped the overall goal here? I would but I won't let anyone else tell me to do so, [ and with a sneer: ] Mr. Overseer.
He's my robot. My property. My responsibility.

Is that clear?
i'm so sorry
[ he's going to assume it's the former because it's always the former. this isn't the first time rhys' life has been threatened and it isn't the last time either. but, here's the thing -- rhys has had a long time to think since fiona and pandora and that god forsaken AI that rotted his brain from the inside out. he's also had time to grow, from the hyperion lackey who didn't know his head from his ass to the atlas ceo who, while still is kind of a screw up, watches things a little more warily now.
he keeps his eyes on ciel, frown tugging at his face as he considers how to approach this. he won't let ciel touch dumpy, of course not, but he also won't give ciel his respect just because of some freggin' assigned roles from some fucked up situation they find themselves in. he chews the inside of his cheek in thought, accidentally opening up the cut there from jack's punch earlier and his eyes widen as he remembers it -- his hands around jack's throat, the need to end his life right there in the bathroom. he smiles at ciel and there's blood staining his teeth. ]
Because... I'll only accept that if you do it with your own hands. At least respect me enough to make it personal, kiddo.
[ there is probably a high possibility that rhys is a little unhinged underneath his uh, everthing. ]
unhinged vs unhinged, round one
If I have to get rid of you, it'll be more than just sleeping.
god damnit
so, he doesn't care anymore. robots are better than people, he reminds himself. ]
Then it's a promise. I'm looking forward to it.
yes it's a blood pact
It's a promise I can uphold. Do your job without being an idiot and getting the rest of us in trouble, and don't make me have to get rid of you prematurely.
jenny you fiend
Yeah. The same goes for you, kid.
