SCIENTISTS & OVERSEER
WEEK 0

Unlike everyone else, you know exactly why you're here.

You've been hired to do a job, and it's time to carry it through. Sure, it's a bit odd to wake up with all the residents you were going to be overseeing, but it doesn't really matter. Once everyone is asleep, you have a chance to slip out. After all, the curfew doesn't apply to staff. Once you've left your assigned apartment, Judy's calm, even voice speaks up from the ceiling.

"Good evening. It's time to get to work..."

She directs you down to the first floor, through a courtroom and an eerily clean room where there's a number pad. You know the code already: 6227#316. Down you go into the operating theater, and through it to the program labs. Here, you'll find everything you may need to carry out your work from the terminal describing that work to a wide variety of tools to be used in the operating theater.

After all, none of this is unfamiliar to you. Since you woke up, you knew what you were going to be doing here. You just had to wait until the curfew was in place. The drugs that effect everyone else don't bother you, since you received your shot to resist it. Though, oddly, you know you have that resistance, but you can't quite remember when you got it...

Welcome, science team. It's time to get to work so that you can go home all the quicker.

chiseler: (and no one even knew)

[Please assume he's probably still rolling around in the spinning chair...]

For this first one it might be a better idea if we don't have Ciel and Rhys execute it? They're sharing a room with the guy and it's better to make sure there's absolutely no way it could be traced back to them. [He spins from side to side.] M'not saying our entire pool of participants is smart, but the less we give them, the better.

[A pause.] I like the idea of a rotating cycle.
turinged: (how it feels to pass a day)

[personal profile] turinged 2016-10-03 06:04 am (UTC)(link)
To follow your logic, it may be best if someone who has never spoken to him does this. Have you conversed with Charles?

[she nods.]

We can construct one after we decide.
chiseler: (another clever word)

[personal profile] chiseler 2016-10-03 06:31 am (UTC)(link)
I haven't spoken to the guy, no. But that doesn't mean that's the best solution either. Have you talked to him? Or anybody else that's sharing that apartment with them.
turinged: (hungry for the histories they show me)

[personal profile] turinged 2016-10-03 06:34 am (UTC)(link)
I talked to Rhys before this meeting, in one of the areas everyone can access. I spoke to Veronica as well.
chiseler: (too heavy to hold my own evaporatin soul)

[personal profile] chiseler 2016-10-03 07:11 am (UTC)(link)
I think I've actually talked to everybody but Charles from that apartment. I don't know if that's more or less suspicious.
turinged: (hungry for the histories they show me)

[personal profile] turinged 2016-10-03 07:15 am (UTC)(link)
I do not think it would be suspicious either way. I doubt the others here have taken note of who you have spoken to.
chiseler: (another breaking news blowout)

[personal profile] chiseler 2016-10-03 08:07 am (UTC)(link)
You've got a good point. [In the longrun, perhaps, it might be something to be more careful about. For now though Ava has a point.]

We should consider our weapon choices, too. Anybody have a clue what those things are?
turinged: (one day out there.)

[personal profile] turinged 2016-10-03 05:54 pm (UTC)(link)
No, I do not. We could speculate based on their names, but I do not know if our ideas would be accurate.
chiseler: (what's worth forgiving?)

[personal profile] chiseler 2016-10-03 06:31 pm (UTC)(link)
I doubt it. [Hm...] Okay. So which one sounds the most interesting?
turinged: (old and bent)

[personal profile] turinged 2016-10-03 06:33 pm (UTC)(link)
The second one is unique. It is not named for an animal.
chiseler: (Default)

[personal profile] chiseler 2016-10-03 06:45 pm (UTC)(link)
Which means it might be the opposite of what we think it is, too. Sounds brutal though. Like something that'll knock somebody out.
puffing: (ᴛᴇɴ﹪ғᴜʀʀʏ / ɢᴀᴍᴇ ― o18.)

[personal profile] puffing 2016-10-03 06:21 am (UTC)(link)
Won't matter if they do or don't. The terminal's already told us all evidence will be destroyed. As long as they know how to lie, they can do it no problem.

[ a pause. ]

Judy can confirm just to be sure.
chiseler: (see them running for their lives)

[personal profile] chiseler 2016-10-03 06:33 am (UTC)(link)
Ciel I can buy as a liar but what about Rhys? [Sorry Rhys, but he's just wondering okay...] We haven't been given specifics how everything's going to be destroyed either have we?
puffing: (ᴛᴇɴ﹪ғᴜʀʀʏ / ᴄᴏᴍɪᴄ ― o61.)

[personal profile] puffing 2016-10-03 07:59 pm (UTC)(link)
Mm. Yeah. Not gonna argue with you about that.

[ sorry reese ]

If Rhys is that eager to kill a kid, he shares the same amount of risk as us and the other twenty-nine people.
jackhole: (pic#9980899)

[personal profile] jackhole 2016-10-03 08:10 pm (UTC)(link)
[ both of you fucking suck ]

Okay, excuse you, but I can lie just fine. And I'm not eager, I just think he's a dick. I think all of you are dicks! And I wouldn't mind if a skag decided to have a mid-morning snack with you.
puffing: (ᴛᴇɴ﹪ғᴜʀʀʏ / ᴄᴏᴍɪᴄ ― 108.)

[personal profile] puffing 2016-10-03 08:14 pm (UTC)(link)
[ le fucking sigh ]

You sure? Is that your voice cracking already, or are my ears hearing things?

―And what the fuck is a skag?
jackhole: (pic#10315323)

[personal profile] jackhole 2016-10-03 08:17 pm (UTC)(link)
My voice is not cracking.

[ high-pitched-troy-baker.mp3 ]

And a skag is... it's a fucking skag, man. It eats people and poops out of its mouth and is like, literal murder on four legs. A skag.
puffing: (ᴛᴇɴ﹪ғᴜʀʀʏ / ᴄᴏᴍɪᴄ ― o80.)

[personal profile] puffing 2016-10-03 08:24 pm (UTC)(link)
Mmkay. Whatever you say, pal.

[ pretty sure he's never heard of a damn skag where he's from. going to just chalk that one up to Rhys being weird again. ]

Forget I asked. Let's just stay on topic, yeah? Instead of coming up with shit just to threaten your colleagues with.
jackhole: (pic#10153556)

[personal profile] jackhole 2016-10-03 08:29 pm (UTC)(link)
[ very huffily muttered now: ]

I'm not... making it up.

[ everyone sucks and he's sad now ]
