SCIENTISTS & OVERSEER
WEEK 0

Unlike everyone else, you know exactly why you're here.

You've been hired to do a job, and it's time to carry it through. Sure, it's a bit odd to wake up with all the residents you were going to be overseeing, but it doesn't really matter. Once everyone is asleep, you have a chance to slip out. After all, the curfew doesn't apply to staff. Once you've left your assigned apartment, Judy's calm, even voice speaks up from the ceiling.

"Good evening. It's time to get to work..."

She directs you down to the first floor, through a courtroom and an eerily clean room where there's a number pad. You know the code already: 6227#316. Down you go into the operating theater, and through it to the program labs. Here, you'll find everything you may need to carry out your work from the terminal describing that work to a wide variety of tools to be used in the operating theater.

After all, none of this is unfamiliar to you. Since you woke up, you knew what you were going to be doing here. You just had to wait until the curfew was in place. The drugs that effect everyone else don't bother you, since you received your shot to resist it. Though, oddly, you know you have that resistance, but you can't quite remember when you got it...

Welcome, science team. It's time to get to work so that you can go home all the quicker.

alittlemaster: (Imma answer that shit like:)

Unless anyone else has any good suggestions, we should all vote for Charles, the boy in apartment two. I questioned Alice's motives, and can use it against her for framing purposes. Plus, she's not staying in her assigned apartment, which will seem suspicious when someone from ours is affected.

For now, this is the simplest and easiest method.

[ he has nothing helpful to add except -- ]

Also, he insulted my robot? Who, like, who does that? About a guy's robot? What kind of person do you have to be to insult a robot? Robots are like, a hundred times better than people.

[ a pause and -- ]

Yeah, humans suck.
alittlemaster: <user name=copyking> (I gotta bury 'em deep.)

[personal profile] alittlemaster 2016-10-02 10:01 pm (UTC)(link)
Your "robot" is a piece of floating rejected metal, and I could make better toy Lincoln Logs, but regardless--Charles is one of the few subjects best suited for the task currently.

[personal profile] jackhole 2016-10-02 10:21 pm (UTC)(link)
[ jabbing a finger at ciel now ]

He is not a toy. He is a murder robot and you should respect that.
alittlemaster: <user name=copyking> (I got to pick up the pieces)

[personal profile] alittlemaster 2016-10-02 10:27 pm (UTC)(link)
Find a way to make him a silent murder robot, and then I might change my mind.
jackhole: (pic#9980908)

[personal profile] jackhole 2016-10-02 10:28 pm (UTC)(link)
No. He should be able to express himself like anyone else.
alittlemaster: <user name=copyking> (You see this blood on my hands?)

[personal profile] alittlemaster 2016-10-02 10:37 pm (UTC)(link)
Then he's useless. There's no way he can help us at all making such a racket. Either disable it or get rid of it. I'm not worried about getting caught. I don't even know who you are outside of this room.

But if you make a mistake because of that thing, you'll be the one dead instead of getting out of here alive.

[ is it ethical to punch one eyed five year olds in the face? a moral dilemma for the ages, starring rhys. ]

I won't make a mistake. You think I don't know how to control my robot? You think if I had to I wouldn't put Dumpy down if it helped the overall goal here? I would but I won't let anyone else tell me to do so, [ and with a sneer: ] Mr. Overseer.

He's my robot. My property. My responsibility.

turinged: (how it feels to pass a day)

[personal profile] turinged 2016-10-02 10:50 pm (UTC)(link)
What was her response when you questioned her?
alittlemaster: <user name=copyking> (I need a friend. Oh but I can't yell.)

[personal profile] alittlemaster 2016-10-02 11:08 pm (UTC)(link)
She threatened me about keeping our conversation a secret. She didn't want anyone else to know she had switched rooms.
turinged: (just one day and then)

[personal profile] turinged 2016-10-02 11:34 pm (UTC)(link)
How interesting.

Framing her does seem like an intelligent strategy.
alittlemaster: (I heard a whisper on my shoulder.)

[personal profile] alittlemaster 2016-10-02 11:48 pm (UTC)(link)
Perhaps, unless there's another reason for her room switch.

I doubt it will be too much issue if we can convince the rest of the people here she had a hand in anything that might happen to Charles.
turinged: (hungry for the histories they show me)

[personal profile] turinged 2016-10-03 12:05 am (UTC)(link)
Be certain that it seems natural when you bring it to the others.
alittlemaster: <user name=copyking> (You see this blood on my hands?)

[personal profile] alittlemaster 2016-10-03 01:20 am (UTC)(link)
I know that. It's best this way since I stay in the same apartment, and she acted so suspiciously. I can bring it forward under the guise it worries me a fraud is in our room after something happened to another roommate.
chiseler: (Default)

[personal profile] chiseler 2016-10-02 11:02 pm (UTC)(link)
Yeah why didn't she stay in her assigned apartment? Did you ask her that? Could be good to know for the future too.
alittlemaster: <user name=mewtube site=livejournal.com> (Ay go and rock with it.)

[personal profile] alittlemaster 2016-10-02 11:12 pm (UTC)(link)
She didn't say, only threatened me to secrecy. It's suspicious, but works in our favor for now. If something happens in apartment two, she'll be the scapegoat if we need it.
chiseler: (Default)

[personal profile] chiseler 2016-10-02 11:34 pm (UTC)(link)
[...okay maybe Ciel does have the right mindset for being the overseer.] Alice...she'd make a good scapegoat regardless. She tried to tell me how she's the strongest person in her world. Sounds like she's got a few little secrets.

If we're thinking that route too we should start scoping out others like her don't you think?
alittlemaster: <user name=sugaraddiction> (The liar takes a lot less time.)

[personal profile] alittlemaster 2016-10-02 11:52 pm (UTC)(link)
If you can find out anything that would make a person suspicious, remember it. But don't forget, you may be the only person who knows this information. If that's the case, you could be singled out, too.

Things will go as planned for now. Tomorrow, I will only bring forward her room switch if necessary, and it will be on the terms that I find it strange since I stay in the same room.
chiseler: (Default)

[personal profile] chiseler 2016-10-03 12:21 am (UTC)(link)
Just because you're our overseer doesn't mean I don't know how to play this game. [Thats the trouble. This is just a game for him right now since all that matters is getting himself out. It'll be an interesting experiment at least.] You think I'd be that careless to share limited information without cause?
alittlemaster: <user name=mewtube site=livejournal.com> (the glorious ending of a knight)

[personal profile] alittlemaster 2016-10-03 01:15 am (UTC)(link)
Plenty of people are idiots. [He may or may not throw a quick glance in Rhys' direction.] I'm not going to merely take your word that you know as much as what I would hope you know.
chiseler: (it was really only you)

[personal profile] chiseler 2016-10-03 05:34 am (UTC)(link)
[He's also glancing at Rhys carefully.] I can't believe I have to actually prove myself to a child. [A heavy sigh.] Fine. Guess I'll just have to prove I'm right. Until then...Charles is a good enough target.
puffing: (ᴛᴇɴ﹪ғᴜʀʀʏ / ɢᴀᴍᴇ ― o25.)

[personal profile] puffing 2016-10-03 01:02 am (UTC)(link)
Not looking to ruffle any bushes regarding the Charles kid, but any reason as to why other than because of Rhys bitching about his bed?

[ just about any reason including no reason sounds plausible at this early stage. he was just curious as to what the fellow youngin' had against the other youngin'. ]
alittlemaster: (I remember the bells--the flowers.)

[personal profile] alittlemaster 2016-10-03 01:14 am (UTC)(link)
[Ciel sighs like it's some great pain to explain to grandpa wolf why.] Requiring one less for the bed isn't bad; however, it seems best to use his location to our advantage as I've said.

There are two people with the name Alice, and one of them decided she was going to stay in apartment two. That isn't her assigned apartment. I don't know what her intentions had been for moving, but that's her own fault. If need be, I'm aware of her room switch outside of his room, and I can use it against her to shift any suspicion from us to her.
puffing: (ᴛᴇɴ﹪ғᴜʀʀʏ / ɢᴀᴍᴇ ― o71.)

[personal profile] puffing 2016-10-03 01:29 am (UTC)(link)
[ sigh... why does grandpa wolf have to have such a ring to it... ]

Fair enough. [ at least he's not fussing? ] To put it plainly ― we're voting to eliminate Charles. Alice gets the shit end of the stick if needed. Otherwise, we let the group vote whoever seems most guilty, so long as it's not us.
alittlemaster: <user name=justademonbutler site=tumblr.com> (“Money doesn’t buy happiness” ok)

[personal profile] alittlemaster 2016-10-03 01:35 am (UTC)(link)
Yes. But none of the rest of you can peg Alice as guilty until I come forward, not unless she has told you specifically she traded rooms. You wouldn't know.

Though I supposed you could raise the suspicion of two Alices being on the list. Still, it would be better to wait for my lead. I'm not going to initiate anything until any of us seem to be in danger of being outed.
